I am amazed at what God can do. I have been witness to a miracle. This is my true testament of the beginning of my journey with Layla. Although she has come into this world on unstable conditions, she will have her place here on this earth. She is a strong-willed baby. She leaves us uplifted and overjoyed with her very existence. I have the privilege of witnessing such a spirited soul. I have six other children who are equally amazed. They look to God, and without asking why, just pray that it is His will and desire to keep her here with us. They wait in joyful anticipation of any news. We try to stay focused on what is important. Right now we are praying that she can endure the road ahead. We will hold her in our hearts and keep close in prayer. Every day she is here will be a good day.........

Kathleen she is absolutely gorgeous! I can't wait to meet and hold my new niece, Layla Suzanne.

All her cousins are praying for her. Uncle Richie and Aunt Trina are praying for her. There are so many praying for this little one. God will hear our prayers. He already has!

I know this is a difficult time for you. Be sure to take care of yourself. Eat well and rest as often as you can. Let others help you! I know that is sometimes hard to do, but in times like these, it's really important to allow others to help wherever they can. I know Rich and I had to get used to that when Audriana was in the hospital. It wasn't easy, but I'm so glad that we did. It helped a lot.

Rich and I would LOVE to have your kids out to visit before school starts up. Do you think they would like that? It would free you up just a little bit, and perhaps give them a distraction, being with all their cousins, going to the beach, the pool, etc. Think about it. You know we love them and would enjoy them being here. If it would help you and Steve right now, all the better. We will drive up in our motorhome to pick them up, then drive them back again. Think about it and let me know.

We love you! Praying for you everyday.

Trina

To My Best Friend Kathleen...It hurts me deeply to see what you're going through. I know how difficult it is for you and your Family to see your sweet Baby Layla in the NICU. I know God is watching over her and making her stronger everyday. She has so many people that love her and are praying for her. I think about her all day long and saying lots of prayers. I know how powerful the power of prayer is and believe she'll pull through this. I pray that everyday will just get better for her and your Family. We are looking forward to seeing you soon. You know if you need anything Kathy I am here for you...call me anytime..Love u all!

My Dear Sweet Layla,

This is a distant cousin of yours. I wish we weren’t so far apart. However we are not so far apart that I cannot call upon my Sweet Daddy God and ask Him for prayers for you. I am your Mommy’s baby cousin and all my life growing up looking up to her and all the older cousins and siblings, I have been able to say I am truly proud of her strength. We love all of your richly. It is not easy to go through a trial such as this but if there is anything we can do to encourage Mommy and Daddy we are willing. I am blessed to attend a congregation of Christians who strap on the armor of God and pray for you mightily. They are prayer warriors and we will not cease remembering you. I love you very much sweet little one. Distance does not prohibit love. God bless you baby girl and all of your siblings and Mommy and Daddy too!

Love,
Cousin Tasha
